____Born and
raised in San Francisco, California, Vanessa made her performing debut
at her kindergarten graduation, singing "Tomorrow" from Annie
through a plastic cup. From there, she went on to appear in numerous
Bay Area venues with the Singing Rainbow Youth Ensemble between the
ages of nine and fourteen. Vanessa made three recordings in cooperation
with the Singing Rainbow and remains involved with the director, Candy
Forest on the upcoming musical Concha, Rose of the Presidio.
____After appearing at age eleven as Glinda
the Good Witch in The Wizard of Oz, Vanessa followed her passion for
musical theatre to UCLA, where she majored in Music (Vocal Performance)
and appeared in a number of musicals and operas. She began her professional
performing career on a cruise ship in 1998. Vanessa finished her BA
in 2000, working her way through school by performing in regional musical
theatre productions.
___Vanessa moved to New York in 2003. Having
recently completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in Theater (Acting)
at Brooklyn College (CUNY), she currently studies voice in Manhattan
with Bruce Kolb and coaches with David Brunetti. Vanessa also works
with Little
Maestros, singing rock’n’roll for Manhattan’s
hip under-two set.
